My research focuses on media, popular culture, and arts that go global from below.  In cultural anthropology, we focus on fieldwork, which means doing research by observing actual locations (現場) where performances and interactions with audience happens.  My research on “spatial sound” explores how we can rethink education and the arts through multichannel sound.
